About Us
Created by Nikki Francies and Sherri Carlson in 2010., CRW Design is a Canadian Knit Garment Development and Production House providing support in all areas of garment development and production.
Having both worked in the Apparel Industry for several years, Nikki and Sherri noticed that many new designers were struggling to find the support they needed to get their garment business ideas off the ground. They spent several years working on a business model that would provide customer with one location to get the support, information and education they needed to start and/or continue their garment manufacturing in Canada.
CRW Design supports a niche market of designers/entrepreneurs, requiring full end to end production support. From development and sourcing, pattern making and sampling, to sewing and finishing; CRW Design works with customers to develop their apparel using Canadian suppliers; focused on keeping all their production in Canada.
It’s because of the creation and production support, CRW Design’s business model has shown such success. After creating several partnerships with Canadian factories, in 2014, CRW Design partnered with and opened their own sewing factory. Starting out with 7 full time staff, the factory has now grown to over 15 full time staff and 6 contract staff; providing more than 10K garments per month and more recently, offering customers the ability to warehouse their fabric in between production runs.
Nikki and Sherri wanted to create a company that customers could trust and feel involved in the production process. Customers are welcome at their location, to tour, learn about development and production as well as see first-hand how their garments are manufactured.
CRW Design continues to support new and existing designers throughout Canada and now into the United States.
